Slumber Party

The girls went to their cousins (Haley) for a slumber party. She was celebrating her 9th birthday. They had a great time! They played dress up and watched a movie. They are so happy they moved back to CA. Now they have girl cousins their age to play with.

Girl's Night

My friend Thea took me out tonight, for my birthday. We went to Chevy's and got Take Out, we ordered a Cesar salad. Then we took it with us to Green Tangerines, for Scrappy Hour. We had such a great time. We probably visited more than we scrapped. But it was such an enjoyable evening. Thanks, Thea!!

Soccer time again!

We are back to the swing of things with soccer. The kids(B & R) practice twice a week, luckily on different days, so our week is filled with soccer. The other day is piano, so we are filled during the week. The kids enjoy their teams, a few new players this year. They are getting better each season they play. I enjoy watching them. Occasionally they are tired and it's a struggle to get them moving. Usually its on the hotter days, I don't blame them. B's field has a lot more shade, so some of their practices are cooler. I'm not team mom this year(yeah!) and it's so nice. I needed a little less stress this time. Hopefully the teams will play great this year!!

Crossing Guard

Ryan is into his 2nd week of Crossing Guard duty. He goes to school early and helps the other students cross safely across the street. There is another 5th grader with him and a teacher. He'll probably be doing it for a couple weeks in a row, until they can train other students. Then they rotate them every few weeks. Occasionally the teacher won't show up and then he just has to stand there, they can't go in the street. He doesn't like it, people just look at him, wondering what he's doing. It really messes up the morning. He enjoys it most days. My friend took this picture for me. Thanks Steph!

K has waited so long to be a BIG kindergartner. She can't believe it's here. She was a little nervous this morning, she didn't want to eat.(I got her to eat a little) She has been a little hyper this past week, knowing that this day was coming. She is excited to be in Mrs. Clark's class, she was hoping for Ms. Lunn.(B's teacher) K knows a couple kids in the class, some from preschool and one from church. She had a great first day!! I can't believe my baby is grown up :~(

Very Thankful

Todd's mom had heart surgery today. We have been thinking of her a lot. The doctors were pleased with the surgery, it went well. She will be in ICU for a couple days and home sometime next week. We hope to visit soon. Todd was going to go tonight, but she is sleeping a lot, so he'll go tomorrow. I hope to go the next day(kids aren't allowed). We are very thankful that Heavenly Father watched over her and the doctors did a great job. The kids made cards for her. Our prayers are with you!!
