We Miss You!

We can't wait for you to be home!! The kids miss you and so does mommy :~) Todd has been gone all week, an emergency this weekend and training next week. It has been a tough one. I'm also having car problems so that doesn't help. Thanks to my dad and brother-in-law, I have new brakes and a new battery. Next is replacing my alternator. Thank goodness it's walk to school this week. Let's hope for cool, dry weather. I can't say thanks enough to all my wonderful friends and family that have helped me out this weekend. I couldn't have made it without you!!!

First Win!!!

B won her first soccer game yesterday. It was 5 to 1. The girls were on fire. Go Panthers!!! It was fun to see their excitement with their first win. B played so hard and ran so fast, even with the grass being so wet. Her shoes were sloshing when we left the game. My pants were wet a couple inches from the bottom. It had rained the night before and it was chilly. Here comes Fall, yeah!!

Hanson Kids

I took the kids to Target and got their pictures done last week. They turned out really good. It's hard not to buy all of them. I needed to get R and B done for their school year. The school wanted so much for them this year, I decided to just get them done myself. They are growing up so fast, R is such a young man now. B had practiced her poses before we left. She just loves the camera.

Halo 3

Halo 3 came out today, so of course we had to buy it. Todd tried to get it at midnight, but that store was not open. R and I got it just before we went to the orthodontist. He is doing his homework so he can play. He is so excited!!! Todd is away on business, so I'm sure he is jealous of R beating the levels. "Go Master Chief!!!"

Braces!!!!

R got his braces today. He was very brave. It hurt quite a bit, I just told him to squeeze the chair. They put 8 brackets on the top front teeth. We stopped at Sonic to get him a large chocolate shake afterwards. We just have to remind him how handsome his smile will be when it's all over. We'll have to keep the wax handy.

Rain Gutter Regatta

R had a fun time at the cub scout pack meeting. They did a rain gutter regatta race. R did well in the race, he won 2 heats, but didn't win the race. Maybe next year. It was fun to watch.

Soccer Guy

R LOVES soccer and has been on the same team for 3 years now. They have played some tough teams this year, but they are playing great! Hopefully they can get some goals next game, to get their spirits up. Good luck, R!!

Soccer Girl

B has enjoyed playing soccer this year. She is on the Pink Panther team. She is a very fast runner and learning to take the ball with her. She got to play goalie for half of the game, she did great! They only got one goal on her, way to go!! She has made some great friends.

My Little Daisy

B has just finished Daisy scouts. They bridged over to Brownies earlier this month. She enjoyed earning all her petals for her smock. They had 12 girls in her troop. It was cute to watch them do their promise together. They visited the fire station, did a flag ceremony on Memorial Day at a convalescent hospital and many more activities. Go Daisies!!

Flower Girls

B and K love to pick flowers wherever we go. We were at the church for a cub scout pack meeting. We were doing the rain gutter regatta outside and they wanted to put a flower in their hair. My little Hawaii girls, so cute!!

My First Lost Tooth

B lost her first tooth on Aug. 29th. She had been working on it for a few weeks. She took her class picture at school that morning and when she got home, daddy helped it come out. Then she had a play date with her friend L and her first tooth came out also. What a special day for both of them! The tooth fairy visited her and she got a $2 bill. She was so excited!!

4th of July

Here is B and K with their cousins K and S just before we started fireworks. They just finished doing some sparklers. The girls had a great time swimming all afternoon and having snow cones(thanks Great-Grandpa A.) It's fun to see all the girls together. They looked so cute in their patriotic shirts. FRIENDS FOREVER!!!

Cousins

K with her cousin C at Grandma W.'s house in June. They just love to play together. They share the same birthday, just a year apart. We gave C the blue airplane(reminds me of "Jay Jay the jet plane") as a gift from France. He shared his mom with the kids while we were gone. K is wearing her ballerina outfit and holding her favorite doll, Angelina ballerina. They are growing up so fast.

First Grade!!!

B is so excited to be going to school all day now. She loves to take her "High School Musical" lunch box. What happened to Princesses and my little ponies? She is growing up too fast. She is such a fashion girl. She is always wearing skirts and making sure she looks good. Watch out teenage years!! She really loves her teacher. It's been fun to watch her learn to read. She has always loved books, even when she was real little. I'd always find her with a stack of books, taking in all the details on the pages. That's probably why she is such a great artist!! Good luck in school!!

3rd Grade, WOW!

R is now a 3rd grader, I can't believe it. He is growing up so fast. He got the best teacher, I'm very happy. He has a couple friends in class, but he didn't get any of his best friends. So, he really looks forward to recess. He loves math and is getting into reading. He is into Military/army things right now. So camouflage everything. I hope he has a great year!!

My Little Ballerina

K has loved doing her ballet class. She dances all the time on her tiptoes. She wears her leotard and tutu all day. She dances with her Angelina ballerina doll. She also loves to sing.

Just Starting

I just got the kids to bed, I'm tired, but determined to get this started. I've been reading my friends blogs all summer and want to join in the fun!! Todd is away on a business trip. We are busy with school, soccer, cub scouts, brownie scouts, preschool and ballet. Also, with a 12 week old puppy. Rusty is a miniature long hair dachshund.
Today, 9~11 is a very emotional day. I remember that morning, I was awakened by a phone call from Todd's dad. "Where is he?"(since he travels a lot) Thankfully he was on the west coast. He told me to turn on my TV and I just watched it for hours. I was in shock. Todd has stayed in the Marriott there. All flights were cancelled, so he and a co-worker had to rent a car to come home. We were glad to have him home and pray for all those families. We will NEVER forget.
