Ryan's many Birthday Parties

Ryan gets a little spoiled with his birthday so close to Christmas. We went to Red Robin for dinner on his actual birthday. He had his sleepover party. We went to Grandma & Grandpa Wallace's for a family party(Holli's b-day too). Then we went to Grandma & Grandpa Hanson's today. He received some wonderful gifts and money to go shopping. Lucky boy!!!!

Beautiful Lights

We went to Great Grandma & Grandpa Altops house last night. They have beautiful lights out front that light to music. The kids had a great time looking at all of them. We went inside to visit for a while and ate some yummy chocolates. The kids loved all the decorations and unique ornaments they had on their several trees. They had many cute music bells and carousals. The girls loved the stuffed animals and all of the beautiful dolls grandma made. They were in heaven. The kids were getting a little over excited so we left before we broke anything. Thanks for letting us stop by!

Frozen Spa

On Thursday morning, we woke up and the Spa was frozen. It happened last year a couple of times and the kids love to break it up. We even had ice in the pool last year too. The best one last year was 1/2" thick. It's amazing how cold the water gets. This time it was pretty thin. The kids broke up the pieces and wanted to hold them. Their hands were so cold, they had to run them under warm water to defrost. I turned on the waterfall on the spa and you can see a big chunk falling into the pool. They can't wait for the next cold night.

Hanson Family Grandchildren

Here is a picture of the Hanson grandchildren on Christmas Day, in front of Wendy & Roberto's house.
Brandon is 18 and Chelsea is 12, they are Tracy & Sue's kids.
Summer is 10 and Ben is 8, they are Wendy & Roberto's kids.
Ryan is 9, Brittney is 6 and Kimberly is 3, they are our(Todd & Lisa)kids.

Roofer

Todd has been building a covered patio(gazebo) and R loves to help. So this is R tied to a rope up on the roof, helping his dad. I've gone up a couple of times and it's scary. I don't know how they do it. I can't wait for it to be done. It will be so nice to use the backyard.

Ryan's Sleepover Party

R had a sleepover party for his 9th birthday last night. He had his cousin Ben and his 2 best friends Robert & Alex. They had a lot of fun, playing video games, playing army and shooting Nerf darts at each other, eating lots of pizza, watching Underdog, playing Gameboys, Singing Happy Birthday and having Ice Cream cake. They stayed up until Midnight and then this morning I made Cinnamon Pull-Aparts, bacon, hash browns and eggs. They played more and then I had a couple activities for them to do. They made Dog Tags and Fan Fingers(sports theme). They all played well together and had a great time!!!!

Christmas Morning 2007

Gingerbread Houses

The kids made Gingerbread houses with their cousins, Summer and Ben. They had a lot of fun!! Thanks Grandma Hanson and Aunt Wendy for all your hard work. It was neat to see all the different things the kids did. They were all very unique. They turned out really nice. B is the only one that has nibbled on hers. They are very yummy. This is a tradition the kids love. They also like to make the gum drop trees.

Happy 9th Birthday !!!!!

R turned 9 today. I can't believe it. Time has gone by so fast. He woke up early this morning, he was excited about all his Christmas gifts, especially the DS. He wanted to get on the computer and log in his Webkinz toy. The website has been busy with all the kids logging theirs in too. They have been a little frustrated with it, so hopefully in the next day or two it will work.
Daddy cooked pancakes this morning for breakfast, that's what R wanted. He's played with friends most of the day and then tonight we went to Red Robins for dinner. They sang to him and he got a chocolate sundae. He's having his cousin and 2 friends over tomorrow night for pizza and sleep over. It was hard for him to choose who, but he knew he wanted a sleep over. I hope he has a great couple of days. Happy Birthday, buddy.

Christmas Dresses

The girls wore their new Christmas dresses to church last week. They looked so cute in them. K almost didn't wear hers. She was refusing at first, then daddy came in and talked to her. She is so difficult right now, most days are very challenging with her. Nothing seems to be what she wants, she's very stubborn. Her words can be very mean sometimes. I hope this phase passes.

Wedding

My baby sister Holli got married last week to Frank on Dec. 10th. It was a nice and very small wedding. Their baby Faith is in the pink dress and K and her other cousin Olivia were there. They had fun together waiting in the room. They looked so cute in their dresses. Congratulations!!

3rd Grade Party

R class had their party yesterday too. They sang a song and the choir students from the High School came and sang a couple of songs to them too. They drank HOT chocolate and ate cookies and chocolate covered pretzels. They made a beautiful origami wreath. They made a memory book for their teacher for Christmas and they also made a quilt for a student in their class that has Leukemia. K came with me and enjoyed the party. She had to bring her little stuffed animal with her.(She doesn't leave the house without at least one of them) It was a very nice party and lots of giving and service. These kids are great!!

Preschool Party

K preschool class had a party yesterday and they performed a couple songs for us. "Rudolph" and "Jingle Bells". She still has her red nose, she doesn't want me to wipe it off. I tried when she was sleeping and it's really on there. Hopefully it will rub off soon. She loves her friends in her class. She even goes to ballet with Ali and Tatum. Their teacher thought it was cute when they all arrived to class with red noses. K brought angel shaped jelly sandwiches to the party. The kids had a fun time.

Mother Daughter Bingo

B and I went on another date together to a girl scout Mother Daughter Bingo night. It was held at our elementary school. It was a lot of fun to sit with the other girls and moms from our troop. They had prizes to win and goodies to eat. We even got a picture taken and they framed it with a teddy bear holding it. The girls LOVED that! The best part of the night was the last game. We were playing blackout and a couple girls started standing up (meaning they only needed one more number to win) then B stood up and the next number they called was "O-74" we yelled "Blackout" so loud. We were so excited she won the GRAND PRIZE!!!!
4 tickets to the SACRAMENTO KINGS GAME vs the Atlanta Hawks. On February 20th. She was so excited and embarrassed(that everyone was looking at her). I told her, they are all jealous of you because you won. She is so shy, it was hard to be the winner. I'm glad she finally won at the end, she really wanted something. It was an enjoyable evening together.

Holiday Party

B class had a holiday party today. They made a reindeer ornament, so cute! They each got to bring a family tradition dish to share with the class for lunch. B brought donuts, since we have them a couple times a month. I wouldn't have called it a tradition, but that's what she wanted to bring. We took a picture with her teacher, Mrs. Kraemer and her friend Camille.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

K feel down on the sidewalk the other day, when we were picking the kids up from school. She feel right on her nose and bounced right back up. She cried for just a minute or two. Then when we got home daddy told her, you are "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" hoping that might cheer her up. She liked it for a day or two, but now she doesn't want to be him. Hopefully it will heal quickly, so she can take some nice pictures on Christmas.

The Nutcracker Ballet

B and I went to the Nutcracker Ballet last weekend at the Community Center Theater. The whole show was for all the girl scouts and their families in the area. We went with Grandma Hanson and my sister-in-laws family. We had a fun time. We had great seats in the grand tier and enjoyed listening to the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra. Afterwards, B took a picture with her cousins S and B in front of the Nutcracker statue. Then we stopped at Denny's for dinner and dessert. Thanks for a wonderful time Grandma!

Our New Cousin

K is holding her new cousin Claire with Big Brother Carter watching close by. B is also having her turn, holding the new baby. She is such a sweet little baby and very content. She loves to suck on her hands. It's too cute!!
