Well, preschool is over for this year. K had a great time with teachers Kris & Gwen. There were a lot of great kids in her class. Hopefully most will return next year. She always did craft projects and liked to put them on the fridge.

Coyote of the Month!
R with the principle and the other students.
R with his teacher, Mrs. Heister and the other students from his class.
R received Coyote of the Month at school. It was a nice surprise. Even Todd was able to come see, since I'm off for the weekend, he's home to watch the kids.
His teacher said:
He is an amazing student, who challenges himself. He exceeds the standards. She often uses his paper as her answer key. He's here everyday, ready and eager to learn. He stands out as a true leader!
It was such a special thing to hear about my own child. I'm so proud of you "R". Great job in 3rd grade!!!!

The Flag being raised during the flag ceremony.
B with her Brownie Troop.
B & K enjoying refreshments!
We went to the retirement home in town for the annual Memorial Day Flag Ceremony. The Girls Scouts get together to perform a flag ceremony for the senior citizens and veterans at this retirement home. There was a huge turn out this year of girl scouts. It was windy, so not as many residents came out. Then we went inside to pass out cake and lemonade to them. We meet a guy that was 103 years old. He looked great!! The girls had a fun time.

Todd enjoying his hobby!
Uncle Cory, Carter and his friend. (K is in the back)
Thanks to my sister for bringing her camera, I have a few pictures of us on the train on Saturday night. Todd wanted to take our train to the SVLS spring meet. It was a warm day, we'd been outside for most of it and not sure we wanted to go out in it again. I'm glad we did it was fun!!!
It was tiring getting it out of the trailer and back in, but the kids had fun. We also invited my sister and her family to join us. Their son LOVES trains.
R had the flu on Friday and was still recovering, but he had a good time. He slept most of the weekend since.

3rd grade Report
Nice feather hat!
Flash!
R's class did a biography report on a famous dead person.
He chose Hernando Cortes. He wrote a report on him and they also had to create a bottle person. It was a lot of fun making it with him. I sewed the clothes and he put it all together. I was helping him with the glue gun and burned my fingers. At least it wasn't his.
Sorry about the 2 different pictures. The first one shows the nice feather hat we made. The second shows the color of the clothes, the flash was too much. I'm still learning about the camera.
GOOD JOB!!!! (He got an A on the report)

First Primary Talk
K did her first talk in Primary today. It was on Mother's. She did a great job!!
Here it is:
"Moms are sweet and nice.
They feed you.
They sing to you.
They know when you are sick or hurt.
They love you, no matter what.
They show you how to pray.
They read the scriptures to you.
They teach you about the temple.
They are moms and they are heroes.
Happy Mother's day!!
In the name of Jesus Christ Amen."
I was already teary eyed and then she said, "I LOVE you mom"
It was the sweetest thing. I think several of the moms were crying too.

Early Mother's Day gift!!!!
I received a package in the mail. It was heavy. It is a Mother's Day gift from Todd. He let me open it early.
It's a CRICUT Expression!!!!
Happy ME!!!
I can't wait to start making cute shapes and letters. Todd keeps asking, "Are you cutting yet?" I think it's driving him crazy. He would have already been into it. It's just a busy day(baseball games, parties, talk to prepare, etc.) and the kids are around. Maybe tonight when they are in bed. He even said, "maybe he'll get into scrapbooking" I think he likes the tool. Anyone for scrapbooking??

Girl Friends
B went to a birthday party at "Girl Friends". She had such a fun time. They got to wear rock star clothes and get their nails painted(she picked red and blue). They got their hair put up and they sprayed it red and put glitter in it. They got to sing and dance. B is not shy and she has rhythm. I could not go because I was at R's baseball game, but her friend video taped it and I got to watch it afterwards. She was cute to watch. She loves to pose for the camera.

Mother's Day Skit
R holding a flower basket he made
R saying his lines
Bouquet of Flowers
Mother's Day cake
R's 3rd grade class put on a Mother's Day skit titled "It's MOM-Sense!" It was sooo cute! They had 132 lines of things moms say. Each child got to pick several things their mom says to them. They each took turns saying the different things. It was so true to listen to what "we" say. Here are a few R picked of me:
*My mom reminds me to say please.
*My mom tells me to take smaller bites.
*When I tell my mom I hate veggies, she asks me how do I know if I've never tried them? I know that I don't have to try some thing to know that it's disgusting!!
*My mom tells me not to say anything if I can't say something nice.
*My mom wants me to be kind to my sisters.
*My mom loves to read to me before I go to sleep.
*My mom tells me it's time to go to sleep, but I'm NOT sleepy.
*My mom wants me to keep my hands to myself.
*We all know that when our moms aren't happy, nobody's happy.
*My mom tells me to let go of my anger.
*My mom tells me that I am special.
And there were a few more. It was so sweet to listen to all the lines. Then they passed out cake and punch. It was nice to visit with the other moms. They even made invitations for us to come. R has such a great teacher, she's the best!

K's preschool class had a Mother's Day Tea Party this morning. We got to eat cookies, little sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries(the kids helped to make) and yummy sherbet punch. Her teacher read Miss Spider's Tea Party and the kids enjoyed that. She gave me my gift, a picture frame with a picture of her in it. So cute!! Then we went to the park to play. It was such a special morning.

WINNERS
R won a Webkinz bookmark & figurine
K won the Pet of the Month Webkinz
B won the mouse pad and a Webkinz
Wow, I can't believe it!! My kids each won something last weekend at the Webkinz 3rd Anniversary weekend. We went to Toys That Teach for their Webkinz weekend activities; they had a wheel of wow, ball jar challenge and coloring contest. The kids had so much fun!! When we first walked in we followed some arrows on the floor to the Wheel of WOW, each of the kids got to spin it. R won some trading cards, K won 50% off an outfit(cute pink shirt) and B won a figurine. Then we guessed how many balls in the jar and the kids colored a Webkinz picture. We went home and they were excited about their Wheel of WOW winnings. The next day after church we get a phone call and K won the ball jar challenge(I helped her a little). She was so excited because that means she won the pet of the month Webkinz(Pink Poodle). B was a little sad and R was excited for her. We went to grandmas and when we got home there was a message for R, he was a runner up in the coloring contest. B was really sad now(she felt left out). First thing the next morning K wanted to go pick up her prize. She was smiling sooo BIG!!! A few days later I took R to finally pick up his prize(he liked it). Then the lady at the counter said, "Do you have a "B" in your family?" and we said Yes!! B was the grand prize winner in the coloring contest, we just didn't get the call. R was disappointed that his younger sister colored better than him. She was ecstatic!!!! I was in shock, I couldn't believe out of all those kids, mine all won. I'm thankful that B won too, she was pretty sad when the other 2 won. Thanks Toys That Teach!!! The kids love all of their Webkinz things.

The 3rd graders at the school put on a play. R did such a good job singing and doing all the moves. They had a fun time. He played one of the Plankton's. Both of his good friends were in his group. We got a picture of him with "R".
It was great to have lots of family come and watch him. He really enjoyed that and all of the support. Luckily daddy was in town and got to watch and was our photographer. Great job!!!!
