My sister Julie invited us to go to Marine World with them. Her work was having a family day. It was so much fun!! It was a little busy because it was a weekend, but we still enjoyed it. As you can tell I went around with Kimberly and Todd took the older kids on roller coasters. Sorry, no pictures of them. We watched a couple of the shows and it brought back lots of memories from when I was a kid. We went several times, back when they only had shows and no rides. Thanks for inviting us.

FHE - water play
Let the water balloon toss begin!!! The kids had a blast with all the cousins. They got soaked, except for Ryan. He and Brandon did a great job of throwing the balloons and catching them. They threw them the farthest! We had our monthly FHE at my sister Julie's. We also celebrated Todd and my brother Jeff's b-day(Happy Birthday!). It was fun having my oldest brothers family here from AZ. Ryan was so happy to have boys his age here. Thanks for a fun evening!!

Happy Birthday & Father's Day!!
"Dad Rocks!"
"Best Dad!"
Happy Father's Day and Birthday today, Todd!! It's not fair to have 2 things on the same day, not as much celebration. Hopefully we made him feel extra special. The kids made him some things at school, so we hid them until now. He also got a new road bicycle and book ends(airplane). We went to his parents and ate dinner and celebrated both Todd and Tracy's b-days. Happy Father's day to all the wonderful men in our lives!!!

Rusty's 3rd B-day
Rusty turned 3 today. Wow!! I can't believe it. He hasn't changed much over the past year, so I think he is done growing and changing for a while. We bought him a new toy and he loves it. Hopefully it will last longer than an hour, but he is pretty strong. Some toys last a few minutes. Happy Birthday!!!

Sacramento Zoo

We went to the Sacramento Zoo today with my sister in law and her kids. They all had a great time!! We even got to see the baby Sumatran tiger, named Jingga. She was born on March 18th and this was her first day out in public. We were so excited to experience that, what a neat surprise! The flamingo were mating, so they had tall boards covering them, but we could peek through small holes. The females were making big mounds of dirt for their nests. The weather was beautiful! We got to talk to a parrot, he was so smart. They had zoo workers painting pictures of animals on the kids hands, they turned out good! Then we went to the park next to the zoo and ate lunch, it was such a nice day! Thanks for taking pictures, Kristen.(my battery was dead)

Sad day
Tonight Todd went flying out in Lincoln and right after he landed one of his friends crashed. They died instantly. He's known Mike and his girlfriend Tara for about 6 months. They had a hanger near each other. It is so sad and too close to home. We are all pretty upset, it scared the kids. They fly with Todd sometimes in his paraglider. Todd's plane is only a single seater. The guys are anxious to find out what happened. They can't believe it. Our prayers go out to their families.

Girls Weekend in Tahoe

I just got back from a wonderful weekend with my friends!! Thank you Kristin for inviting us! We had a great time, but very sore from all the activities. We got up there on Friday, a little later than hoped. I had to go get an ultrasound done because I was having some pain near my ovaries. Now just waiting for the doctor to call back.(hopefully by Tuesday) Ok, back to the weekend. We got settled in and then drove up near Kings Beach and had dinner. The food was yummy! We came back and watched a movie. The next morning we got up early and did Pilates, ate breakfast and then Jenica lead us in a boot camp workout. Wow, that felt great, thanks!! We went back, got our swimsuits on and laid by the pool visiting and eating snacks. After lunch we went on a hike up the mountain, so beautiful, but what a workout!! We relaxed a little before dinner. We came back and played games late into the night. So much fun!! We went to church the next morning, wow great testimonies. I think we were all crying! Afterwards I came back and put aloe all over my sunburn, I got burned pretty bad, ouch! We had a nice lunch together and then I had to leave early because Todd needed to catch a flight for work. It was so nice to get away, even for a short time! Great memories and friendships made! Thanks Todd for taking care of the kids and all the baseball/softball parties. Can't wait for next year!

Summer Break!!!
It is so much fun to sneak up on the kids and snap a picture without them knowing. This is the first day of summer break the house was quiet and the kids were all playing great together. It's a nice surprise to see them ALL together and getting along! The girls usually do, but to get Ryan in the mix is even better. I am actually packing for a girls weekend in Tahoe. I hope they are good for Todd while I'm gone. I'm leaving later than I planned, I needed to see my doctor before I left, I am having some pain. All is well for now.

End of the Year Assembly
Well, the last day is finally here, we can't believe it! This year has flown by. Ryan is so excited about going on to Middle School!! Brittney is so sad to be leaving the BEST teacher ever, she did not want the year to end! Kimberly has mixed emotions about moving up to 1st grade. It will be a long day for her, but she is excited to eat lunch in MP room and play at the big playground. The Kindergartners sang a song for everyone at the assembly. Kimberly's class was in the back, so we couldn't see her. It was cute!

Ryan's Speech
All the students(700+) at school wrote a letter to the principal about their favorite part of the year. The 5th graders wrote their favorite memory from their school years there. Ryan wrote about 1st grade and was chosen by his teacher to read it at the assembly. He was a little nervous the night before, about speaking in front of the entire school. I told him he would do great! He talked about how great his teacher(Mrs.Geissberger) was. She always had a smile on her face and greeted everyone warmly and with love. She still talks to him today and tries to help him out. She offered help during his state report, but he was doing ok. She is the BEST! He loved 1st grade and I hope Kimberly does too! (we hope she gets Mrs. G, too!)

Fly up to 6th Grade!
After the assembly, all the teachers got together and made a tunnel. They had all the 5th graders run through it and fly up to 6th grade! It was so cool! His good friends Alex & Brendan were right before him. Good luck in 6th grade!! Congratulations on straight A's!!

Kindergarten picnic at the park
Kimberly had such a great time at the last day of school picnic. All the Kindergarten classes went to the park to play, say goodbyes, sign year books and eat cupcakes. She loved the swings. She didn't want to say goodbye to her long-term sub, Ms.Ries. She wasn't happy about getting one, but at the end, was sad to say goodbye to her!! She hopes to be in class with her best friend Ali, next year. She is excited for 1st grade!!

Rusty
Rusty was out back enjoying the sun, there have been so many cool days. He was so cute! Then I looked out later and he was waiting by the door. The song "Oh, how much is the doggy in the window" came to my mind, so funny!
