Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We went to Thanksgiving dinner at my parents church building, with my moms extended family. It was fun and lots of yummy food! The kids got to make cute turkey cookies that my sister brought. K and her cousin Carter played with toys. Todd played with R's DS. My sister Alyson and her cute little girl, Claire ate at our table. It was a nice evening with the family. Now we are stuffed. I can't believe vacation is almost over. The kids will be back at school for a long 3 weeks before another break. Wow!!!

Florida Trip

Lisa & K are with Minnie Mouse at Disney's Animal Kingdom. (I love her Christmas dress!)

R & B learning some skills from the "Green Army Men" at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Here we are in front of "The Ball" at Epcot. (Love the decorations!)

Here's us at Epcot in the Norway village. We put on Viking hats for the picture.

We are in the front entrance at "Magic Kingdom" at Disney World.

We went to Florida during our Thanksgiving break from school. It was so much fun! Todd got 4 vouchers during the past year from United, so we only had to buy 1 plane ticket. He used points and we stayed at the Marriott Spring Hill suites. This was our family Christmas this year. The kids bought different pins at each park and added it to their lanyards. We went to the 4 main parks. Animal Kingdom the 1st day; Hollywood Studios the 2nd day; Magic Kingdom the 3rd, 5th & 7th day; and Epcot the 4th & 6th day. We were exhausted, but enjoyed them all. The last day Todd & R went to the Kennedy Space Center, they had an enjoyable time. R really liked it! I'm glad they went, he's the perfect age. B, K and I stayed at the hotel and relaxed, swam in the pool and hot tub, went out to lunch and I uploaded all of our pictures. The weather was cold for Florida, we always had a sweatshirt on. Some evenings even got chilly. All of the Christmas decorations were gorgeous. They played Christmas songs and the characters were in festive clothes. It even snowed down main street. It's a kids dream come true. "The happiest place on earth" (not always for K, she had her moments)

Harvest Party

R's table group

R at his desk

I went to R's Harvest party. They had a fun time. They made a fall craft out of a soup can, ordered pizza, wrote things they are thankful for, played heads-up 7-up and tried to write as many words they could think of from the letters "Happy Thanksgiving". They were timed. The most was 43(I think). It was great to finally go in R's class, I usually help out but she has too much help.

Thanksgiving Feast

K with her food.

Her class at the table.

K & her friend.

Lisa with a bonnet

K preschool class had a Thanksgiving feast. They had slices of turkey, stuffing, corn bread, veggies, sweet potatoes and a yummy dessert. K didn't want to eat.(what else is new) She just wanted to read in a corner. I hope she had a little fun. She wanted me to wear her bonnet and then take my picture. Great party!

Soccer Party

R with his trophy.

Coach Jorge

Cheerleaders

We had R's soccer party at the park. It was a lot of fun! The assistant coach BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs and everyone brought something for the pot luck. The weather was beautiful! The kids played soccer, played on the park equipment, ate, broke the pinata and they loved the cake. Coach has done a great job for many years. I was team manager again. B & K were so cute with their friends, little cheerleaders. Great season!

Book Report

B made a diorama from a book she read for school. It was "Dolphins at Daybreak". She had fun making it. Todd helped her make the tree house. She did her oral report in class and got 100 on the project. She wanted to be the last person to do the oral report. Silly girl.
We had a hard time convincing her to read a chapter book. She wanted to read an easy-read book. I'm glad she finally listened to us.
